Starting a S.C.O.P.E. chapter in your area

Thank you for your interest in forming a SCOPE chapter, and your desire to do more to defend the 2nd Amendment. We would be happy to assist you in that effort.

First, please make sure we do not already have a SCOPE chapter in your area.

If you like we can have a postcard mailed to all SCOPE members in your area to contact you if they are interested in forming a SCOPE chapter there. If you get enough interest, then you would need to have an organizational meeting and decide if you in fact want to form a chapter. At that time you would select officers, determine when and where you will have your meetings and then, with a letter, ask the Board of Directors to grant you Committee status which you will have for one year. After a year when you have shown that you are a viable organization, you would ask the Board for official Chapter status. Once you become a full chapter, you then have voting rights on the Board.

Chapter presidents with internet access, are required to sign up for both SCOPE eGroups:

Chapter officers with internet access, are required to sign up for:

Chapter members with internet access, are encouraged to sign up for:

Chapter officers are expected to be able to read all emails in the eGroups.
Members should be signed up for at least Special Notices if they do not wish to partake in the general discussion, or wish to keep their email clutter to a minimum.

Let us know if you want to proceed, and we will start the ball rolling.

Again, thanks for your interest & support.
